LEGOLAND New York: LEGOLAND Hotel Experience

We recently stayed at the brand spanking new LEGOLAND Hotel in Goshen, New York, and our package included tickets to LEGOLAND theme park for 2 days, which we thoroughly enjoyed! LEGOLAND New York Resort is an amazing theme park and hotel destination, best for children ages 2 to 13 and their families, and please note that LEGOLAND New York is a cashless resort!

At LEGOLAND Hotel, all rooms have a separate sleeping area for children and adults, and at LEGOLAND Hotel New York, guests have the choice of booking a LEGO Pirate themed room, a LEGO Friends themed room, a LEGO NINJAGO themed room, or a LEGO Kingdom themed room. Guests also have a choice of suites within the same 4 LEGO theming categories. We booked a LEGO Kingdom themed room, and our boys enjoyed it! We all did! Here are some of the reasons we recommend a stay at LEGOLAND Hotel New York!

Unique Hotel Lobby Experience

Upon entering the main lobby at LEGOLAND Hotel New York, families may check-in and/or retrieve their room keys at the kiosks that are front and center in the lobby. However, if a family’s room is not yet ready – as was the case with us – there are many seating areas and a variety of LEGO building areas throughout the lobby. Additionally, there is a LEGO castle in the middle of the lobby for children to entertain themselves while families await their room keys. While in the hotel lobby, our boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves:

  • building LEGO models,

  • chatting and building with other children, and

  • watching other children and families’ creativity unfold as well.

This, honestly, is a truly unique hotel lobby experience.

Immersive LEGO-Themed Rooms

LEGOLAND Hotel New York rooms are beautifully themed! Our boys enjoyed the castle theming in our room. Also, although we selected a standard Kingdom themed room, there are premium themed room options that would extend even more theming to the walls, curtains, and more. There’s also a LEGO play area with lots of LEGO for children to create, build and enjoy!

In-Room Treasure Hunt

Minutes after entering our Kingdom themed room at LEGOLAND Hotel New York, our boys enjoyed a treasure hunt as there was a royal frog sitting on top of a treasure chest upon entering the room and a treasure hunt sheet placed in the boys’ sleeping area. Finding the answers to the questions on the treasure hunt sheet, reveals the code to unlock the treasure chest. It’s my understanding that the treasure varies across the hotel. However, the treasure in the chest in our room was a LEGO magazine and two small LEGO sets.

Brand New Hotel

LEGOLAND Hotel New York is brand spanking new! Overall, the hotel’s public areas are clean and well maintained, and our hotel room was also clean and well appointed. Of course, this is all expected in a new hotel.

Hotel Amenities

Although not yet opened on the days of our visit, LEGOLAND Hotel New York will feature a resort-style pool which we took a quick peek at as we walked from the main lobby to the elevators. LEGOLAND Hotel New York will also feature an on-site creative workshop and arcade, which were also not yet opened during our visit. That said, they’ll all be sparkly new and guaranteed loads of fun when they do open!

On-Site Restaurant, Bar & Café

Breakfast at Bricks Family Restaurant is included in a LEGOLAND Hotel New York vacation package! Bricks Family Restaurant offers a variety of items for breakfast, so even our picky eaters could enjoy a good meal before heading to the park. We also enjoyed dinner at Bricks both nights of our stay at LEGOLAND Hotel New York. Dinner pricing is not included in the hotel price, but it is still rather convenient to have a decent restaurant at which we can enjoy dinner. Added to that, we also enjoyed attentive and friendly service there. The dinner menu has a variety of family-sized meals, and also, includes drink selections from the hotel’s bar which is located in the main lobby. I especially like that children can order fun specialty drinks too – obviously non-alcoholic. LJ enjoyed the Cherry Bomb with his hamburger dinner both nights at Bricks! I enjoyed quite a few different drinks in Bricks Family Restaurant, including the Magic Mule, Sugar Rush, and M-ARRGHH-GARITA, that were all prepared at the Skyline Bar & Café in the lobby.

Most Convenient Hotel To LEGOLAND New York’s Theme Park

Staying at LEGOLAND Hotel New York allowed us to basically exhaust 2 park days, doing all we wanted to do in the parks, including doing some things twice, and being able to simply stroll over to our hotel next door to relax afterwards.

I imagine LEGOLAND Hotel New York is also a prime choice for those with toddlers and other children younger than ours, especially if they still nap, because it’s an easy way to take a break during the day and head back to the park after naptime.

No Parking Fee

There was no parking fee during our stay at LEGOLAND Hotel New York

Even after preparing this blog post, additional perks come to mind. Truth is the new LEGOLAND Hotel New York is the most convenient & fun for a visit to LEGOLAND NY’s theme park! We highly recommend checking it out for yourself!
